Description

The 2020 Parade, Festival and Fireworks Show is CANCELLED.
One of the most notable community events is the annual 4th of July Celebration which includes a parade, and festival in the park. The event is funded entirely by the CDA Chamber through sponsorships, member businesses and citizens donations.
The festivities begin with a parade down Sherman Avenue from 15th Street and ends at Government Way. Crowds move toward City Park for activities, live music and food vendors.
The theme for our 2020 parade is
“Reunited Coeur d’Alene”.

GUIDELINES FOR A SAFE INDEPENDENCE DAY
- For the safety of all our community, if you or anyone in your party is sick or experiencing COVID-19-like symptoms, please stay home.
- Older adults and persons with severe pre-existing health conditions are thought to be at increased risk and should stay home.
- We encourage you to wear a cloth face mask.
- We have changed the parade route and limited entries to allow for social distancing between family/groups.
- We request your assistance in leaving the appropriate space between your family/group and others along the parade route and while in line for food to ensure proper social distancing.
- Please be patient with the Coeur d’Alene Chamber of Commerce staff, our volunteers, vendors, and one another.
- We will be utilizing cashless procedures at our food booths to limit person-to-person interaction where possible. Vendors will accept credit/debit cards.
- While enjoying music in the park, we recommend social distancing between family/groups.
While we have based our decision to move forward on the information and guidelines from state and health experts, we cannot guarantee there is no risk associated with engaging in a social activity at this time. As always, it is your right to assess the risks involved, take your own precautions, and come to your own conclusion as to whether to participate in social activities at this time.
