About Us

North Idaho AIDS Coalition (NIAC) is a non-profit, 501(c)3, Idaho corporation and community based service organization that began in 1989 as a support group for people with HIV, their families, friends and loved ones. NIAC provide services for free HIV and Hepatitis C testing, free HIV 101 education presentation, to raise awareness, remove stigma and discrimination associated with HIV/AIDS status so that people learn their status earlier, and by doing so, potentially reduce HIV transmission. The organization is funded by individuals, group donations, community fundraisers, national resources as well as funds from state resources: Idaho Department of Health and Welfare, Ryan White Part B Program, AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP), and Idaho AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP) and Idaho Housing and Finance, Housing Opportunities for People with AIDS/HIV (HOPWA) Program.
