About Us
North Idaho Women and Their Money (NIWATM) is a regional initiative dedicated to strengthening the financial stability, confidence, and long-term security of women across North Idaho. Launched with its inaugural conference on June 9, 2025, at North Idaho College, NIWATM delivered a transformative, region-wide impact—empowering women with accessible, high-quality financial education in a welcoming, judgment-free environment. Participants represented a diverse cross-section of our community: ages 18 - 84, many are primary income-earners, nearly half are raising children, and a significant number navigate single-income or lower-income households. These women came seeking practical tools, expert guidance, and a supportive space to strengthen their financial lives, describing the experience as “life-changing,” “motivating,” and “something I didn’t know I needed.” The conference’s success was made possible through the extraordinary generosity of sponsors who ensured the event remained free and fully accessible—removing financial barriers so no woman must choose between improving her financial future and meeting her family’s daily needs. On June 9, 2026, NIWATM will welcome 550 attendees and aims to award 40 scholarships to North Idaho College, further expanding educational and workforce opportunities for women across North Idaho.
